DOG IN THE HOLE STUDIO

WELCOME TO DOG IN THE HOLE STUDIO

Dog In The Hole Studio, located in Southwestern Wisconsin.

WELCOME

I am a Mixed Media and Fiber Artist, located in Southwestern Wisconsin. I create when I can in my studio, on the second floor of the barn. Every Friday, my friends , The 3150 STUDIO ARTISTS, come out to the studio barn.

We experiment with new techniques, we discuss, we applaud, we laugh and we wonder where to find the time to create even more.

We all come from different art backgrounds. I started out in Textiles in the 1980s creating traditional quilts. I then moved quickly into smaller lap size quilts, for the local nursing home, children's wards in the hospitals and quilts for those in need. I then became interested in designing my own Art Quilts.

In the 1990s I discovered the art world of the Internet, joined many Yahoo groups and learned from wonderful artists in these groups.I became interested in Mixed Media, learning how to create with acrylics, metal, paper and recycled items.   I began my art career with Artist Trading Cards, small baseball card size works of art.  I traded these with artists from all over the world.

I am self taught and I owe what I have learned from the wonderful artists on the Internet that gracefully shared their techniques and support. They helped me grow as an artist.

I continued my Mxed Media journey learning about acrylic mediums, plaster of Paris, embellishments, adding fiber to paint, collage and design elements. I have created Altered Books, Fabric Postcards and Acrylic Abstract Art that I have traded with fellow artists worldwide.

In 2010 with the formation of a group of women, who were committed to working together and exploring and experimenting, our group of artists was formed and we all began to take our art to new levels.

I also have a love of photography and through my off shoot, Sun Dog Studio, I show my work in local cafes.

Please explore my page and enjoy the art!  Don't forget to turn up your sound.

If you are interested in purchasing any of my artwork please contact me at my email address below. Thank you for stopping by.
